Dir. Penny Panayotopoulou. 2013, 99 mins. DCP. With Kora Karvouni, Maria Skoula. Grieving the death of her beloved dog, a woman seeks the company of her neighbors to dispel her loneliness. What begins as a heartfelt appeal for human compassion, however, turns into something far more complicated as the woman becomes increasingly involved in her neighbors’ lives. Kora Karvouni won the 2014 Hellenic Film Academy Award for Best Actress for her richly nuanced portrayal of the lonely woman.
